BEAUTÉ PRISMIQUE - CONCEPT STORE FRONT DESIGN
LOCATION :
PROJECT TYPE : FACADE DESIGN - SPECULATIVE
ROLE : DESIGNER
This concept storefront reimagines Tiffany & Co.’s identity through a parametric façade system inspired by gemstone facets and optical layering. Designed in Rhino 3D using a custom Grasshopper script, the tiled geometry responds to light and materiality, producing an atmospheric and jewel-like visual effect that aligns with the brand’s heritage.
The façade system was envisioned using architectural-grade bioplastic, such as NatureWorks' Ingeo PLA—a transparent, high-performance biopolymer derived from plant sugars. This material was selected for its clarity, structural stability, and sustainability profile, making it suitable for architectural applications like cladding or interior features. Its ability to refract and diffuse light provided the ideal material foundation for the tessellated tiles, enhancing the concept’s environmental and sensory impact.
Script visualizes the parametric construction of the façade—generating responsive tiling through grid evaluation, domain mapping, and transformation logic. The system enables modular experimentation with pattern density, curvature, and light-material interaction.
